Concrete Treatments recently completed a kitchen floor in Northern Minnesota. As part of this new construction project, the owners had the focus of sustainability in mind and a polished floor did just that for them. Without the uses of secondary flooring solution, they were able to increase the light reflectivity of the room as well as having a floor that is easy to maintain. Now the owners will be able to enjoy their cabin without the constant upkeep of carpeting, tile or other flooring solutions.

The most natural floor since dirt: Polished Concrete. By process of mechanically grinding and polishing with industrial diamond tooling, we create a hard wearable surface free of surface wax and maintenance. Polished concrete will take a new or existing slab of concrete and turn it into a warm, and if desired, colorful environment. By mechanically grinding the surface, we are able to create an extremely smooth and flat surface with little maintenance and upkeep required. By same process we are able to polish terrazzo concrete as well as marble. In turn you will have a finished floor without ever having to wax and seal that surface. The outcome: reduced costs in maintenance and energy, esthetically pleasing look, reduction of carbon foot print on the environment with sustainability.

Concrete Treatments also provides other services in coatings, dyes and sealers, and also surface prep with coating, thin set, and carpet glue removal. Coatings services in epoxies, and urethanes gives you the ability to water proof a floor, with a seamless blanket of high friction finish. Exterior dyes and sealers gives you the capability to match two separate pours of unmatched exterior concrete.

With our equipment, we are capable of any sort of surface prep work including: removal of thin sets, carpet glues, VCT and sheet vinyl. As well as any fill in patch work, whether it’s small chips and cracks, or a complete tear out and replace of slabs. All being done with vacuum systems to create a dust free environment.
